Before you start down this path, as is routine in other Doctor's Offices, you must get evaluated to find out if alternative medicine - in this case, MMJ - is suited for you.
Thankfully, getting evaluated here at Cannabis Doctors of Florida is as quick and easy as a standard physician's visit would be. The process starts as soon as you get checked in for an appointment with the kindest assistant a Marijuana Doctor could ask for, Kristin.
Kristin will guide you along every step of the way, ensuring that your experience with us is as seamless and comfortable as possible.
Kristin will inform you that you should bring the following for your appointment:
Valid Photo ID or Driver's License for Florida residents
Medical Record(s) showing a diagnosis of one or more qualifying conditions
For seasonal residents ONLY: 2 proofs of residency for the State of Florida
Now that you're all booked, the day of your appointment is here. Call or Text Kristin once you arrive in the parking lot for your appointment; Please wait in your car to avoid crowding in our waiting room, as per COVID safety guidelines. Kristin will let you know once Dr. Andreoni is ready to see you so you can head upstairs.
Dr. Andreoni will ask you for your medical records (remember these should have a written diagnosis of your qualifying condition) and begin the medical evaluation. The evaluation consists of questions that Dr. Andreoni will ask about your condition. Your answer to his questions, along with your medical records, will help determine whether or not MMJ is right for you.
If, after your evaluation with Dr. Andreoni, you qualify to be an MMJ patient, you will begin the process of applying for your Medical Marijuana Card. CannaDocs makes this process stress-free, and Kristin and the Doctor
are here every step of the way to ensure that your experience is smooth and easy.
If you qualify to be a patient; and your application to the Use Registry is accepted, then within 10 days, you can expect to receive your MMJ card! Congratulations! You are now a patient of the Medical Marijuana program in Florida!
Telemedicine For Existing Patients at CannaDocs
Existing patients looking to renew their Medical Marijuana Card with us rejoice! As of March 26, 2020, Surgeon General Dr. Scott A. Rivkees signed off on Emergency Order 20-002. This Emergency Order issued by the Florida Department of Health is temporarily allowing Florida's existing medical marijuana patients to complete their follow-up visits through Telemedicine.
Telemedicine reduces the spread of diseases and also creates a safer way to consult with your Doctor - all from the comfort of your home. Yet, no one is quite sure how long this Emergency Order allowing for Telemedicine to continue will last in Florida. So, existing patients looking to renew should make the most of this ordinance while it is in place.
