Ladies, Let's Talk Body Consciousness and Privacy at CannaDocsFL

Let's face it, talking about our bodies with someone we know is hard enough. Talking about our bodies with someone we don't know is even harder, even if you're voicing these thoughts to a licensed Cannabis Doctor. This posting is here to give your reassurance, for information about your journey with Medical Cannabis, see our FAQ.

Cannabis Doctors of Florida would like for you to know that we're a safe space, that we're an office dedicated to providing the best treatment possible at affordable rates, that we're professionals that understand how difficult it is to discuss personal topics. So, we're here for you.

You're more than "just a patient" to us. At CannaDocsFL, you're our friend and family. And we hope to build such rapport with you that you won't have to feel awkward when discussing body issues or health with us.

This rapport comes from trust, and here's why you should trust us:

Your Privacy is Guaranteed

Talking about your body issues with someone you don't know may seem like an anxiety-inducing task, even if that person is a licensed Cannabis professional. We at Cannabis Doctors of Florida are aware of this, and as such, we would like to offer you some ease of mind by guaranteeing that your information is private and secured with us. Our guarantee is federally assured; your medical information is protected under HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). There are a few entities that have access to your medical information under HIPPA:

  • Your doctor

  • The Florida Department of Health

  • Medical Marijuana Treatment Center (MMTC) staff

  • Law enforcement

Pursuant to Florida Bill 381.026, under section 4, sub-section (a), sub-sub section 2: "Every patient who is provided health care services retains certain privacy rights, which must be respected without regard to the patient’s economic status or source of payment for his or her care. The patient’s rights to privacy must be respected to the extent consistent with providing adequate medical care to the patient and with the efficient administration of the health care facility or provider’s office."

And, while it might ease your mind to know that your information is staying private, the actual process of talking to someone might still feel a bit uncomfortable.

The CannaDocsFL Difference

Like any physician, we adhere to the AMA's PRINCIPLES OF MEDICAL ETHICS. Principle 4, which states, "A physician shall respect the rights of patients, colleagues, and other health professionals, and shall safeguard patient confidences and privacy within the constraints of the law." is a principle we take seriously.

Moreso than the AMA's principles, however, we respect you as an individual above all. Our morals and values come first, which means we recognize that you are a human being who deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

Your business isn't ours to tell, and as we've just covered, it's illegal for us to disclose anything about you to others besides the listed entities. Above that, we want to reassure you that talking to a CannaDocsFL professional is no different than talking to a friend or family member. We want the best for your health, and we want to make your journey with Medical Cannabis simple and helpful. So, what are you waiting for? Schedule a call with us today!
